This kit is designed to mount your existing cowl assembly more securely and reliably than the factory plastic fasteners...

Your stock G8 or Caprice PPV cowl assemblies are snapped in place with brittle, single-use push fasteners. They were easy to install on the assembly line, but a pain for maintenance! Those fasteners often BREAK when you change your Cabin Air Filter, then that cover doesn't fit right anymore. And, if you can even find the old single-use fasteners, they'll likely break again next time.

 

The G8 Designs Cowl Kit eliminates the problem of the old brittle, broken fasteners with an engineered hardware solution! Consists of specially-sized stainless and nylon hardware that won't break or corrode, using the stock mounting locations. With this kit, you can easily change your Cabin Air Filter or do any other maintenance required. Your Cabin Air Filter cover will fit snugly when reinstalled as it should. Comes with our full color installation instructions that take you step by step. Easily installed in under an hour with common tools.
