This product is very limited-production, and it's costly for us to produce. It's American-made AND American-supported, unlike all other foreign-made products for these cars! They don't stay in stock very long, they sell out quickly!

Our most recent production run sold out in early 2024. It will be a year or more before we have more new G8 Designs Dash Kits to sell. Here's why...
 

COVID CHANGED THE ELECTRONICS LANDSCAPE
The existing design we've made for years used a processor on the circuit board that went out of production during the Covid mess over the last couple of years, as well as the worldwide chip shortage. We knew this would happen eventually, as it was an older architecture.

 

NEW ALPINE OF AUSTRALIA DESIGN

Meanwhile, our partner that makes our AC controllers, Folcik Enterprises, has been developing an all new widescreen controller version for Alpine of Australia, to be used in their latest dash kit products. That new design uses a Raspberry Pi computer on-board, a new widescreen capacitive LCD, and some exciting new graphics and technology. However, that product is only available to (and only supported in) the Aussie marketplace.
 

THE NEXT GENERATION DESIGN
Fortunately for us, his work on Alpine's new controllers will greatly benefit our upcoming "The Next Generation" controller unit, currently in the conceptual stages. Folcik will begin work on that as his schedule allows in the coming year.

 

Our "Next Gen" Dash Kits will have dual multi-function control knobs, Raspberry Pi architecture, new LCD screens, all new graphics, and all new technology, on-board Bluetooth, will graphically display engine gauges and other readings on the controller screen, moving animated graphics for the screen controls, new 3D printed outer fascia, and some other amazing new features!
 

WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON NOW
In the meantime, we're working steadily on our new Retrofit Kit which is an exciting new UPGRADE for all existing G8 Designs Dash Kits. We've got thousands of our kits in G8's and Holden VE's around the world, on nearly every major continent! We've been posting updates about our progress on this upgrade on our Facebook page. If you're interested in getting the Retrofit Kit when it comes out later this year, you would either have to own one of our existing Dash Kits, or you'd need to find somebody selling one of our kits used. ALL EXISTING KITS can be upgraded when the Retrofit Kit becomes available later this year.
