The stock G8 rear spoiler is a common failure item on these cars. They were made with a critical design flaw that can cause them to snap off or fly off the car at speed without warning! 

These spoilers consist of two parts - the decorative outer shell (painted body color) and the inner mounting structure attached to the trunklid. These two parts are held together with a series of thin, brittle plastic-welded strips. These spoilers were designed to be cheap and fast to install on the Holden assembly line, but they were not designed for strength or longevity!

G8 Designs has special plastic-welding equipment to repair any cracks or breakage of spoiler parts, and we use advanced automotive adhesives as well as special surface prep techniques to bond your spoiler parts back together stronger than they ever were from the factory! We also supply brand new factory-style push fasteners (there are 5) which help hold your repaired spoiler onto your trunklid when you reinstall it.

TO GET YOUR SPOILER REPAIRED: First, contact G8 Designs and provide photos of your broken or loose spoiler parts so we can determine what we can do for you. We'll determine if it's repairable, and advise you further. NOTE: For our repair work, you MUST have both the outer shell and the plastic structure attached to the trunk lid. We cannot supply either of those parts individually, you must provide them to us. They can be broken or damaged, and in 99% of the cases, we can still provide an amazing repair!
